Wow! Last week was a very busy week at CCPS! We had three field trips, Fall Picture Day, and STEM Day.

A special thank-you to Mrs. Anderson for making STEM Day such a special day for our students. We also want to thank all of our parent volunteers. Without your support, this day would not have been possible!

On Friday, progress reports were sent home. Please take some time to review your student’s progress report. If your student is not making the progress you would like to see, or if you do not understand your student’s progress report, please reach out to your classroom teacher. We want to partner with you to support the success of your student.

In partnership with HNH Immunizations & Health Heroes, on-site flu vaccinations will be offered to students on September 28. Flu clinics will be offered at each school location during school hours. Health Heroes flu vaccination clinics are completely voluntary and offered to students age 5 and up, with the exception of students with Alabama PEEHIP insurance. Students with PEEHIP insurance may participate in the PEEHIP flu clinics.

Vaccines are provided at NO COST to students, parents, schools or local/state government. Qualifying uninsured students can be given the vaccine, free of charge. Although student participation is voluntary, these vaccinations are recommended to help keep schools healthy and cut down on high absenteeism. IIV-4 injections will be available to all consented children who do not have any contra-indicators. All vaccines given are preservative-free, mercury-free, Thimerosal-free and administered by state-licensed nurses.

If you wish for your child to participate, please COMPLETELY fill out and sign a consent form. These forms need to be returned to school as soon as possible to secure a dose for your child.
