A Message from Dr. Shaddix

Dear Parents,
Thank you for a wonderful first week as we launched the beginning of the 2026–2027 school year! We are so excited about the year ahead and appreciate your support as we work together to make it a successful one for our students.
This week, our students will begin their beginning-of-the-year benchmark assessments. These assessments include i-Ready Reading, i-Ready Math, and DIBELS. The information gathered will provide us with important beginning-of-the-year data and help us identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth. Students will complete these assessments three times throughout the academic year.
Please encourage your student to do their best, take their time, and give each assessment their best effort.
We are also continuing to work through carline issues and concerns. Please know that our staff is doing everything possible to unload and reload students as quickly and safely as we can.
To help carline run as smoothly as possible, please remember the following:
  • Please keep your car tag up until you have exited Hoehn Drive.
  • As you approach Hoehn Drive in the morning, please make sure your student is ready to exit the vehicle. All belongings should be gathered and the student should be ready to go.
  • If possible, students should exit on the building side of the vehicle.
  • Please avoid having students cross between vehicles. Asking students or staff members to move between cars creates an unnecessary safety risk.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and continued support. These simple reminders will help us keep carline moving safely and efficiently for everyone.
We look forward to another great week!

Arrival and Dismissal Information
The instructional day begins at 7:55 a.m. Students are expected to be in the building and ready to learn by 7:55 a.m. It is very important that your student arrives at school on time each day.
Breakfast is free for all students this year. Students who plan to eat breakfast should be dropped off using the yellow and blue lanes.
For families with multiple children, older siblings should go to the younger sibling’s arrival and dismissal areas.
If you have any questions or need clarification about drop-off and pick-up procedures, please reach out to your student’s homeroom teacher.
Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal process for all students!
