Reading Intervention
Mrs. Melony EdwardsMy name is Melony Edwards. I have been a teacher in the Cullman City School System for 23 years. I taught 2nd and 3rd grades at West Elementary for 22 years before joining CCPS as a Dyslexia Reading Intervention Teacher last year. I received my BA in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Athens State University and my MA in Elementary Education (K-6) from UAB. I just completed my CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist) Certification from The University of Alabama, so I am now a certified Dyslexia Therapist. I am married to Nic Edwards. We have two boys, Zac and Case. Zac is currently a student at Auburn University. (We still say, “Roll Tide!”) Case is a student at Cullman High School. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, and I really enjoy watching Case play baseball. I love singing and being a part of the worship team at Daystar Church. I also LOVE to read! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year at CCPS!
